I just wanted everyone to know that you can still read the site on the Google Cache.
Google Cache has the site up till last night at 6pm. We are working to restore the site, but I thought you could read it there if you like.

Comments and other functions are not going to work on the Google Cache, but at least you can still read the posts.

ReplyDeleteWhat a crappy situation Blogger has put you in! Once this is all said and done, let's try to figure out how to make them realize just who they have messed with. Letters, emails, whatever. They need to understand how many readers Collin has and how many people they have affected with this "issue."

ReplyDeleteI couldn't figure it out last night either. I figured that you were doing some sort of upgrades or updates, as I do my own websites and such and some updates require my site to go down for short period of time and the best times to do updates is in the middle of the night when less people use your site.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they will fix this. But, if they do not - you at least can see your old blog and build a new blog off of that and your readers can checkinto your old cached blog for things they missed and this will just be a small bump in the road and things will be back to normal soon enough.
I bet you were so worried what the christmas winners were thinking - but I am sure things will work out for you COllin. Take a breath - :)

Oh my gosh I have been having WITHDRAWLS since last night. I thought it was my computer so I ran software to clean up my computer, restarted, etc. Still nothing. I did a search for hip2save to click on- just in case my browser was not resetting from where I normally access her website. I hope you get everything figured out with as little stress as possible! I previously saw comments from others saying someone by the name of Will was making negative comments- I wonder if that person had anything to do with saying your website was "spam". ReplyDeleteYesterday, I bought Viactiv 60 count (found the bonus cans!) at Walgreens, but my Parade coupon for $2/1 rang up $1--I did not catch it :( I saw iheartwags posted the error Wednesday, but I didn't see it until today.
Also, if you use the 15% discount, all Walgreens coupons ring up 15% less.
Collin, I miss you, and I'm sure you would have told us all that! Thanks to you I am able to give more this season. I have five $5 Walgreens Dollars and I will be going to Walgreens to buy 10 toys for a local outreach service, and will also donate a ton of Triaminic, Theraflu, and personal care items--could never have done that without your site.
I miss you.....I was going to go shopping today...I no longer know how to go shopping without first checking hip2save. I keep coming back here hoping it's been fixed. You're awesome, easy to read (love your scenarios), and I'm not sure if I could go another day without reading your blog!!!

ReplyDeleteJust in case anyone is still waiting for the $2.99 bag from Womenwithin last week...I got mine today...it is cheap (It reminds me of something you would see in chinatown 2 for $10)no lining, the handles look like they belong to a kids toy purse. It's big,(little too big for couponing)and it smells really bad...(like cheap plastic, bummer for gift giving). I wasn't expecting much and that's what I got...good thing it was only $2.99:) but i am glad that i only got one. I am not say this to be a downer. I was wondering what it would be like when it came...so maybe others are too.

I also had looked through the items available and got the pink watch which my daughter will find perfectly tachy.. there is a place for everything in this world. :)

I sent you an email and got your automated message leading me here because I tried to get on last night and could not access it (I guess it was after midnight lol) and then nothing today. I was still able to read your posts on google reader but when I searched blogger for a way to ontact them I could find no contact info. I then started reading the forum postings and found that they do this to a lot of people. I know that moneysavingmom used to use blogger and then quit and I bet it is for the same reason. If you find a way to email them please let us know and we will all let them know what we think about their no notice practices! Thanks for all you do. Looking forward to getting you up and going again.

ReplyDeleteI just read all of the blogger articles in the help forum related to the locking of sites that are flagged as spam blogs. The whole thing really makes me angry. Blogger is making this the end user's issue, instead of taking responsibility for their flawed system. I saw all the "steps" you have to take to fix this issue and it's FREAKIN RIDICULOUS!!! I would be sooo soooo soooo MAD! Plus then they have the nerve to call upset users "turkeys, hyenas", etc.?? WTF kind of service is that? So glad you're getting off blogspot! I have my domain privately hosted with a hosting service. It is expensive ($120 a year), but it is SOOOO worth it. I would not mess around with a free service and allow them to have you by the balls (so to speak) whenever they want.
