"Follow Me Monday" Eat This!

OK... with all that has been going on, I am very excited to be able to post this "Follow Me Monday" video and on time! It's exactly 11:50 PM CST, so for lots of you this video made it on Monday! Yay!

Now I will tell you, this video is completely pointless. I try to cook some Christmas goodies to share with all of you, but as you'll see, I am NOT good in the kitchen! I won't be linking to any of the recipes I try and make in the video! Why? Well, watch the video to see!;-)

If you can't see the video, then go here to watch it!

I miss you guys so much! ...AND I so miss finding the deals and sharing them with all of you! I cannot wait until my new site is up and running! Thanks so much for your patience!

  2. Missing your blog. I did mangage to make it through CVS and Wags on my own, but it was a lot more work. I'm sure I missed some things too.

  8. OK this was just way too funny. This just goes to show that if you put your mind to it you can do anything. Besides we learn from doing. The next time (if there is a next time) you make these you'll know better how to do it. Thanks for making us feel like we can do anything. Now we know why people appreciate home made gifts so much.(they are a lot of hard work) Merry Christmas.

  12. I must say, it is pretty ridiculous how much I adore you and your shenangans.

(So writing that officially sounds creepy. Let's just establish right now that it isn't! Thank you! And thank you for all the work you do on your blog. I do look forward to its return. I too made my drugstore rounds yesterday. It went fine, but I have this feeling like I may be missing out on some deal therein. lol.)

You're the best Collin. I hope you get to enjoy some of this offline time even though I'm sure it's a bit hectic sorting through and reorganizing things.

  13. Girl it's a lot of work making rounds to all the deal sites and other blogs trying to see if any good deal exist! You are the one blog "I can't live without" LOL!!!

Oh and no worries! Half of my Christmas baking gets trashed but the recipents are none the wiser b/c I do give them whatever turns out good. They will never understand the heck you put yourself through trying out new challenging recipes. PS I think I'll try the fudge for my hubby next year!

  14. Great video! If nothing else, you gave us all a chuckle and a smile today! Thanks Collin!

  15. We miss you too!! Can't wait until your site is back up also.

I too tried making truffles but I made oreo truffles. They actually came out pretty good, a few ppl wanted the recipe..shocking, nothing like the picture though. The cookie dough truffles sound really good, think I'm gonna try those also. But just a little tip that I figured out as I was making my truffles, it's easier to roll the the dough into balls and cover them with chocolate if you refrigerate the dough for a few hours (you could probably even freeze them), it makes it easier and less messy and it looks a little better as well, still won't come out like the picture tho, they never do anyway.

  16. You are a riot. You had my daughter (she's 5)giggling over your cooking attempts.

Booooo to blogger. I've had enough of you being gone. I have several different deal sites I check out but yours is the only one that is the WHOLE package.

  19. Thanks for the video. My 3 yo looked at the green lasagna, stuck out her tongue and said," Yuck! I'm not eating that!" The rest of the time she was giggling. This happens to me plenty. Keep up the good work!

  21. At least this mess gave you a nice vacation and (hopefully) plenty of time to finish your Christmas shopping!

  22. Well, everything SOUNDS waterly appetizing! BUT, things don't always turn out the way they look on tv or the computer! Besides, I think truffles are one of the harder things to make if I remember correctly!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think the video is great! It lets others like me know we're not the only ones that can never make it the way it looks in the picture lol. Keep up the good work!

  24. Collin...you are sooo awesome...who else could screw up in such a cute way and then come away even more charming that when you began! Well, just keep trying! Thanks so much for your hard work!

  29. I miss your blog so much! I still check it 2-3 times a day and am disappointed everytime. Boo!

I have found that after many disasters with truffles that they should be put in the freezer for about 2 -3 hours before dipping them in the chocolate! I made 3 different types this year and baout 14 dozen.

  30. Miss your blog! Okay, so after watching your "cooking show" I just wanted to let you know that you really need to get some Demarle bakeware in your kitchen! It makes everything look amazing, cook beautifully, healthy and non-stick and lifetime warranty. It's a little pricey, but will change your life! I was a non-believer at first, but now in love with it all!!! Never use pam, oil, flour, etc and it is always non-stick!

  31. I miss you - and I loved watching your attempts at baking and cooking :)

  38. Kind of off topic but over the last 1-2 week I started receiving some of the stuff I order from the great deals Collin posted. Overall, WOW! I am super excited with everything. I got those Lena Crocs, not too bad for $10 bucks they will go great with jeans. The Bebe tshirt, was amazing I love it. The Weekend bags from Woman Within were just what I wanted, they are great to stuff with some of the freebies we get to give as a gift. My favorite was the ELF order I just got today for $1 each item I can not complain, I LOVED it! Please come back soon Hip 2 Save!

  39. Collin... I miss you too! lol. And yes, as one of the other bloggers up there commented, that sounds a bit creepy, but it's TRUE! I love watching your videos, even when things don't turn out the way you'd hoped :) You are so real, I feel like I know you just from reading your blog all the time! I swear we could be SUCH good friends if only we weren't thousands of miles apart... lol! My husband told me the other day that it was "weird" I felt that way because we've never met... But I just don't think he gets how much we all can bond over similar interests on the web. Here's hoping you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!! Can't WAIT for your new blog to be up! :)

  44. Where do I go for the Receipe? Loved the video. :)

  45. o my gosh! You had me laughing so hard. That is EXACTLY what would've gone down if I tried the same thing. Seriously quality footage!

  46. OMG I am laughing so hard right now (as I bake 8 loaves of made to order banana bread for christmas gifts). All I could think when I saw the green lasagna was EWW - it wouldn't matter if it was the most delicious thing in the world no way would my kids (or my hubby) ever eat that. I think everyone that visits your site regularly and takes the time to watch your video's enjoyed the good laugh at a stressful time of the year, I know I did. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  47. LOL I desperately wish you lived close to me - we would be *DANGEROUS* together!!!!! I think our personalities are so similar - we could sell tickets to watch our "humor" (a.k.a. life) unfold! =)

This is so stinkin' hilarious- I've put it into my favorites!

I think you should do a cooking video at least once every other month!!! =)

Oh! By the way, I did notice how light out it was and by the end how dark it was - how long did it take to make all your comedy? ..er... I mean recipes? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  48. That is the same fudge recipe I use too! I usually use walnuts, but I will definitely have to try pistachios. Can't wait until the new site is here!

    ReplyDelete
  49. You make me feel normal! I made Ritz crackers with peanut butter dipped in chocolate (like little sandwich cookies) and mine looked just like your truffles. I think it has something to do with the type of chocolate and the temperature. But who cares what it looks like. You still made me want to try your recipes. Can't wait til your official blog is back. Hip2Save is still my favorite. Thank you for all that you do!
